The Miami Heat lost to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday after failing to get much going on offense. Orlando relied heavily on Howard who seemed unstoppable on both sides of the court. The loss brings the Heat record to 19-7 on the season. It also brings their away record to 7-5 this season. The Magic win puts them at 16-10 overall so far. The battle of Florida went to Orlando on this night and showed that the Heat need to win away and play better offensively to advance farther towards their goal.
The Heat were led by Dwayne Wade, who also led all scorers, with 33. Both led the squad in rebounds with 9 while James led in assists with ten. The Heat stumbled every other quarter as they scored just 18 in the first and an astonishing low 11 in the 3rd quarter. The 11 was the lowest the team has scored in a quarter in quite sometime. Despite the loss, the Heat still hold onto 1st in the division. Following the game they were 2 games. They also have the 3rd best record in the NBA.
The Magic's leading scorer was Ryan Anderson who scored 27. Turkoglu added 7 assists to lead the team as well. Dwight Howard stole the show, however, as he scored 25 points while grabbing 24 rebounds. The team scored 24 in each of the game's quarters except for the 3rd where they scored 24. The win moved them closer to the Heat as they moved to 3 games back in 3rd place.
