The Heat won big in Milwaukee Monday beating the Bucks 114-96 in a strong offensive showing. The Heat move to 22-7 overall with the victory and improve their away record to 10-5 on the season. The Heat now have the 3rd best record in the league as they stand alone in first place. Currently, they have a 3.5 game lead in the division and have done so with strong outings both home and away.
The Heat were led by Lebron James who scored 35 in the contest. The team shot great from the floor and had 25 or more points in every quarter but the fourth. The team opened up a lead in the 2nd as they outscored the Bucks 28-20. They then further increased their lead gaining 35 points to just 24 by the Bucks. If the team can continue to play solid basketball like this on the road, they will be a sure contender for the NBA championship.
The Bucks were led by Carlos Delfino who scored 24 points and helped the Bucks move to 12-16 on the season. The team improved their home record to 7-6 on the season as well. The team started off with a slight lead by outscoring the Heat 30-27 in the first. From their on out, they scored less than 25 however. The team now finds themselves a pathetic 10 games back of the first place Bulls. The 12-16 mark puts them at third in the division.
The Heat will look to build off this away win while the Bucks will look to try and simply stay competitive in games.
